About Me
I’m currently a Masters Computer Science student at the University of Pretoria working on a project at the CSIR/Meraka Institute. My official title is that of “Student Researcher”.
The project / thesis concerns Road Network Extraction from non-temporal high resolution satellite imagery. The study focus on the characteristics of low-level road extraction algorithms according to global context (urban, suburban, rural, forest, etc.)
The project will also touch on Land Cover Classification, which will be used to determine the global context of a given scenario.
